House of Cards was a highly successful site-specific public art installation featuring the artwork of over 20 local Houston artists on 126 oversized playing cards. This monumental light and sound piece was created by the Israel-based Design Studio OGE Group.  WAG ran an open call for regional artists to submit their designs, from which the final artworks were selected.

During the day the cards’ artwork shone in the sun and, at night, the structure was illuminated and animated by a specially programmed light show to create the illusion of the House of Cards rising, collapsing, and being rebuilt.
