Miami Art Week Day 3: Previewing Art Basel

On day three of our journey East, WAG previewed the crown jewel of Miami Art Week, Art Basel. Described as “the favorite winter meeting place for the international art world,” Art Basel Miami Beach presents artwork from across the globe. More than 250 of the world’s leading galleries participate, drawing crowds of more than 70,000 visitors each year.

Art Basel is comprised of works in all media: painting, sculpture, photography, film and more. Works from Modern and contemporary masters are presented alongside emerging stars. The fair is spread among multiple venues, encompassing the Miami Beach Convention Center, Collins Park and SoundScape Park (home of the world-renowned New World Symphony).
