Public Art Monday: As Above So Below

With the flurry of new Spring openings comes the closing of installations to make way for the new. With that in mind, we’re bringing you a public art project this week that closes at the end of March.

On view for nearly a year at MASS MoCA, Teresita Fernandez’ mesmerizing work has been described as turning “viewers into tiny figures through the works’ sheer scale” (Architectural Digest). The solo exhibition, As Above So Below, housed in the largest space in the country devoted to experimental installations is comprised of multiple works, creating a microcosm and macrocosm, enveloping the viewer. When moving from space to space to view the installations from different vantage points, the viewer experiences each work with a new perspective, discovering new intricacies.
