Welcoming new faces to Weingarten

Change is all around us this season, and no less at Weingarten Art Group. Our company is growing and welcoming new faces, in addition to offering new opportunities for our veterans. With this expansion, we’re leaning into our core strengths in the Private, Public and Corporate practices and building upon what we do best.

First, we’re excited to announce that Ady Avivi has been promoted to Lead Project Manager & Curator overseeing Public and Corporate clients. In the seven years that Ady has been a part of Weingarten, she has truly been a rock star on our team, and it’s no secret that she is beloved by clients and co-workers alike. We’re also happy to share that Ady just welcomed her first child and will be on well-deserved leave with our best wishes through July.
You can see Ady’s work on full display in this article from Andrew Dansby in the Houston Chronicle, highlighting our partnership with the Downtown Management District on the forthcoming Trebly Park and the works currently being designed for the site by New York-based artist duo CHIAOZZA.

With our Private Client portfolio experiencing dynamic growth, we’re also excited to formally announce Sarah Abare as Project Manager & Curator. Some clients will have already seen her acumen in action in the months since she joined us in February. Sarah most recently spent six years at the prestigious Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, and before that held positions at the Blanton Museum of Art and the Cincinnati Art Museum. In addition to her wide-ranging knowledge, Sarah has a particular strength in interpreting and communicating with and about artists that brings our Private Client practice to a whole new curatorial level.
Last but not least, we are welcoming Olivia Petrie Kimbrell to the Weingarten team as Project Manager & Curator , supporting Ady in our Public and Corporate Art practice. Having attended Parsons, Olivia spent the past several years art advising large-scale commercial developments in a variety of industries. She brings a highly detail-oriented and broad skill set to the team as well as a sharp eye, as evidenced by her pair of recent ASID Ruby Awards.
We’re thrilled at the talent that we’ve assembled across the board at Weingarten and this new chapter for our company. It’s a great time to start a new project with WAG—what can we collaborate on with you?
