Houston Life: A Historical Walk Inside Open House

Houston Life reporter Stephanie Gonzales steps inside “Open House” by Havel Ruck Projects located at Sam Houston Park and The Heritage Society to explore how past and present mingle in this engaging art installation. The immersive structure is part of Art Blocks Houston, an initiative by the Downtown District to activate areas of the city’s core through engaging and creative experiences. Weingarten Art Group is engaged as the program curator and project manager. KPRC/Click 2 Houston reports:

Havel Ruck Projects have been transforming abandoned homes into art since 1994. “Open House” is their newest project which is located at The Sam Houston Park, across from City Hall. Filled with historical pictures, Stephanie Gonzalez takes us inside the house to learn more about it.
