City Place in Spring, Texas, is the latest stop for Roaming Gnomes by Sydney-based studio Amigo & Amigo. Marking the studio’s Texas debut, the installation brings the simple joy of discovery to the park, inviting visitors to explore familiar surroundings with fresh curiosity.

The monumental gnomes have made themselves at home along the park’s pathways and green spaces, becoming glowing landmarks after dark. Each gnome has a name, distinct personality, colorful attire, and expressive pose, encouraging visitors of all ages to seek out each character, take photographs, and enjoy a playful adventure together.

The exhibition is on view from September 26 to November 8, 2026 and is part of an ongoing series of temporary public art installations curated by Weingarten Art Group for City Place, in partnership with Harris County Improvement District 18 and developer CDC Houston.
