Melissa Borrell: Fractal Nature

These wall-mounted sculptures are composed of small clusters of wooden elements painted or left in their natural finish and placed together in formations that are adaptable to the space they are in. One is a landscape-inspired system of elements while another climbs through a narrow enclave waiting to be discovered by viewers. Installed in different formations each time, these sculptures reference microscopic organisms, geological formations, and architectural structures that surround us.
